This is the legal requirement (in most of the places) where you can do away with parents' and/or guardians' to fill up forms, contracts, deeds, covenants, since it is deemed that only upon this requirement that you are considered of enough maturity, reasonableness, and capability to think for yourself and to bear liabilities and be responsible of whatever you do.

Well, other than that it's nothing special actually. Just another stupid social conventions to make yourself feel good while reminding how near you are to your end, if you are gonna end the natural way.

So what happens/what are going to happen today other than that? on this 31st December 2010? 

1. The release of my favorite year-end-comedy show in Japan.

2. My company holiday! Just like normal weekend when I get to sleep more.

3. The day when people are going to swarm and pack the whole town where you'd finally have an excuse to celebrate something and want to celebrate it and when the other hundred thousands or even millions of people in the country are looking forward to celebrating an annual occasion (in the town/cbd area) too.

4. This may kinda sound ironic, but this is the day when friends follow that convention and reminds you how ironic life and relationship are. Because some of these people will give wishes to you and 80% of these people who give wishes are people who were close, but not as close or not even close anymore; or mere acquaintances. It's also ironic since it makes you feel more and more reliant to social networking sites, especially facebook.

5. Marina bay countdown is probably one of the most looked forward too since now there's this Marina Bay Sands and it cost 100bucks++ just to go to the Skypark, you can go like 5 times with that amount of money on normal days. great.... and countdown at some other places. Geez... Should I stay at home?
