I learned something today from the Anime I'm watching right now: Neon Genesis Evangelion, since it's very new for me, I decided to post it.
Definitely something more meaningful rather than watching's Thomas' Fave Sugo Chara (Lolzomg).
You all might have been familiar with this already but yeah, let's just post it anyways.
The Hedgehog Dilemma,
Well, you can find the page from wiki, but I'm not gonna argue about how hedgehog literally live within their community, but yeah, since it's from anime, it is somewhat an analogy of social "distance" dilemma within human's community. The picture is, the closer (less distance) of a hedgehog with another, the more pain they will feel if their quills hardens. Same goes to Human's Relationship: The closer you get to a person, when you are bound to hurt or to be hurt by that person, the more painful it feels.
So, naturally hedgehog would naturally find the most comfortable distances among one another within the community themselves. A good learning point that can be applied to human social lives.

...hence the social barrier or AT Field as in EVA anime.
EVA rocks yeah!
nga di EVA anime, the shinji-kun was a very quiet guy and they (the others) were making speculations that shinji is a typical afraid-of-hedgehog-dilemma person.
He's afraid of getting hurt/hurting people close to him because it feels more painful when the people are closer to him
yea I know Shinji-san is the one who got the hedgehog problem one.
I just spoiled a bit tat if u watched further, u'll learn that AT field is a symbolization of social barrier. every human has AT field tho not as strong as angels or evas.
hmm.. perhaps there can be something better to describe the relation other than hedgehog, coz hedgehogwise, a person can only inflict pain and not convey a more meaningful bond, as would be the case where hedgehog-dilemma doesn't occur.
adit memang cibai spoiler sialan.. mentang2 gw lagi ga bisa nntn..
@Do: That's why it's called a dilemma. It's true that from the description, the implications are only hurting.
That's why only the point of view itself is called hedgehog dilemma. The one that you said is another angle of view
